Greetings Western Families,

We are excited to remind you that Thursday, October 15, 2026, is PSAT/SAT Testing Day at Western High School. October 15 is also an Early Release Day and Parent-Teacher Conference Day.

Please review the important reminders below and share this information with your student:

📚 PSAT/SAT Testing Day Reminders

• 📝 Bring your own snack and water for testing.

• 🚫 No hats or hoods are permitted during testing. If your student is having a bad hair day, a scarf is an acceptable option; however, hats and hoods cannot be worn for any reason.

• 📋 Accommodations: Families who received accommodation letters should read, review, and return those letters so students can be effectively accommodated.

• 🚌 Early Release: Students will be dismissed at 11:36 a.m.

• 🍎 Grab-and-Go Lunch: Grab-and-go lunch will be available for students. Please plan accordingly for your student's dismissal and transportation home.

Thursday, October 15, is also Parent-Teacher Conference Day.

Please reach out to your student's teacher to schedule a conference and confirm the available time slots.

📅 IMPORTANT SCHOOL CLOSURE REMINDER

Friday, October 16, 2026, there will be no school for students.

Schools will be closed for students for a Professional Development Day for Teachers and Staff. Students will return on the next regularly scheduled school day.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to prepare our students for a successful testing experience. We appreciate your help in ensuring that students are prepared, informed, and ready for the day! 😊
