Enrollment for pre-K and kindergarten opens Monday, February 16, 2026 with applications due by Friday, April 17, 2026. The early years set the foundation for a child’s success in school. City Schools’ pre-K and kindergarten programs help young learners build strong academic and social-emotional skills in safe, supportive classrooms.
Families can complete the entire process online from home. Traditional school applications are submitted through SEMS, while charter schools manage their own enrollment.
City Schools' programs are delivering results. In 2024–25, 53.4 percent of City Schools pre-K students demonstrated kindergarten readiness on the state assessment. Kindergarten readiness has increased by 16 percent over the past three years, four times the state’s growth, and is now at its highest level in nine years.
Registering with City Schools gives children a strong start and helps prepare them to be ready for kindergarten and beyond.
