City Schools is proud to share that our Food & Nutrition Services team has received the Healthy Meals Incentives Recognition Award from the USDA Food and Nutrition Service and Action for Healthy Kids.
This award recognizes our efforts to integrate Farm to School education with our school meals and Wellness Policy, helping students learn where their food comes from while enjoying healthy, nutritious meals every day.
This school year, our Farm to School programs reached over 14,000 students, and we’re excited to keep growing these opportunities next year.
The Healthy Meals Incentives Awards recognize schools that employ innovative strategies to promote students’ health, engage families and the community, and serve meals that align with the 2020–2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
We’re committed to supporting student health and wellness in every school, every day.
