Emergency Medical Technician students at Patterson practice stabilizing a patients neck for transport.

Our second visit to highlight February as Career and Technical Education Month was with the Emergency Medical Technician program at Patterson High School.

While we were there, students learned how to stabilize a patient's neck and properly load them onto a backboard.  This interactive class highlights a public safety pathway that is engaging and also extremely important in our society. Watch as instructor Mr. Barnes talks about teaching his students the importance of soft skills in the workplace and beyond.
