The Ravens Book Mobile rolled into Violetville yesterday! Special shout out to our 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Taylor, for organzing this event for our students. Building a love for reading at an early age.

Celebrating Chinese New Year
Today, our Prek class had a special guest, Ms. Trang, visit our class to teach us about Chinese New Year! She read the story The Great Race, and students had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions and learn about the holiday’s traditions and meaning.
Each student was gifted a lucky coin, which symbolizes good luck and prosperity for the new year. Thank you so much, Ms. Trang, for sharing your time, culture, and knowledge with us. We truly enjoyed having you!

In Unit 2 of our Kindergarten SABES Science Curriculum, students have been learning about plants. What plants need to survive and parts of a plant. Last week, students designed their own plant, as well as labeling the different parts of their plant!!
