The Board of School Commissioners has approved the district's $1.95 billion fiscal year budget for the 2026-27 school year during the public Board meeting on Tuesday, May 5. The budget details funds which will cover needs surrounding student wholeness, literacy, leadership, equity, and district office structure. City Schools presented the district's proposed $1.9 billion budget for the 2026-27 school year to the Board of School Commissioners during the public Board meeting on Wednesday, April 8. The budget details funds which will cover needs surrounding student wholeness, literacy, leadership, equity, and district office structure. Dear Families,
Students in grades 3–8 will begin state testing on Monday, April 20th. It is extremely important that all students arrive on time each day so they can start testing without disruption.
Students will be completing the ELA MCAP assessment, which includes 4 sessions. Each session is 70 minutes long, and students will complete one session per day.

After reading the text, Martin Luther King Jr. and the March on Washington, scholars had to respond to the question: What injustices did people face before the Civil Rights Act of 1964?



Yesterday, our PreK–2nd grade students had an amazing time on their field trip to Port Discovery Children's Museum! 🚌✨ From hands-on exhibits to interactive play, our young learners explored, discovered, and had so much fun together. It was a day full of curiosity, laughter, and unforgettable memories!
