Parents, please remember to submit a written note explaining any absence due to sickness, medical appointment, court summons, or bereavement.
Parents can submit a written note for up to 3 days absent. Absences more than 3 days require medical documentation for excused absent-ill.
Our goal is to work together to help your children succeed. If your family is facing challenges that make attendance difficult, or if you need support, contact Attendance Coordinator, Naima Cook at (410) 396-0525 or ncook@bcps.k12.md.us.

This Friday: Students in grades 7 through 12 can come to the Baltimore City Public Schools Central Office for the Meningococcal (MCV4) and/or Tdap vaccines. Come to the first-floor Board Room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn more here: https://www.baltimorecityschools.org/page/immunizations.
We have two exciting events coming up, and we want everyone to join in!
This Friday, September 11th, is Baltimore Team Pride Day! As we welcome back football and celebrate the close of baseball season, students and staff may come out of uniform and wear Ravens or Orioles gear. No team gear? Wear purple or orange! If your scholar does not have team gear or those colors, they should wear their regular school uniform.
And don’t forget Back to School Night on Thursday, September 17th from 5:30–7:00 PM! We will begin in the auditorium and then transition to classrooms. Come meet your child’s teachers, learn about curriculum and goals, connect with our staff, and learn how we can work together for a successful year. Light refreshments will be served.
We can’t wait to celebrate, connect, and show our Beechfield and Baltimore pride!
Every Student Matters. Every Day Counts.

Beechfield families, YOU are a critical part of your scholar’s success! Help us build strong habits by ensuring scholars arrive by 7:45 AM, are in uniform and prepared, and receive support with homework and learning at home. It takes a village, and we are grateful to have you as our partners.
Let’s continue working together because Every Student Matters and Every Day Counts!

We have made it through our first week of school! As we continue establishing strong routines, we want to remind families that attendance and arriving on time are critical to student success.
All students should arrive at 7:45 AM and be ready to begin their day. Breakfast ends at 8:05 AM.
We are now reaching out to families of students who have been absent or have not yet reported to school during these first days. If your child is enrolled at Beechfield, we need them here, on time, every day.
Every day of instruction matters. When students miss school or arrive late, they miss important learning, routines, and opportunities to connect with their teachers and classmates.
Please help us start the year strong: Come to school. Come on time. Be present every day.
Every Student Matters. Every Day Counts.

Arriving late means students may miss breakfast, morning routines, and valuable instructional time. Let’s build strong habits now that will carry our scholars throughout the school year.
Thank you, families, for helping us make attendance and punctuality a priority!
Every Student Matters. Every Day Counts.

We are building strong habits, routines, and momentum—and attendance matters every single day!
School begins at 7:45 AM. Being present and on time gives our scholars the best opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve.
Families, thank you for helping us start the year strong. Please review today’s Day 4 Family Flyer for important reminders about arrival, dismissal, breakfast, uniforms, and attendance.
Remember: Every Student Matters. Every Day Counts. Let’s make Day 4 another great day at Beechfield!
