As the NFL Foundation kicks off its season, it is recognizing Baltimore City Public Schools for demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to character development and whole-child education as part of its Character Playbook.
By instilling core values such as respect, resilience, digital responsibility, and thoughtful decision-making, the Character Playbook fosters stronger students and thriving communities. Schools serve as the cornerstone of this growth, offering the safe, encouraging spaces young people need to reach their potential.
NFL Foundation Executive Director Alexia Gallagher said, “[City Schools’] commitment to implementing Character Playbook reflects a dedication to supporting the whole child. By prioritizing character education alongside academic achievement, you are helping students build the skills and confidence they need to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and become positive contributors to their schools and communities.”
The NFL Foundation welcomes Baltimore City Public Schools into this elite group of more than 100 Character Champion Districts nationwide. This achievement encompasses the collective efforts of educators, administrators, counselors, and staff who work every day to create meaningful opportunities for student growth and development.
