Join us in welcoming Principal Lori Bush!

With more than two decades of experience in education, Lori Bush, principal of Vivien T. Thomas Medical Arts Academy, has dedicated her career to advancing instructional excellence, equity and student achievement.

Her path to the principalship is grounded in the belief that all students deserve access to transformative opportunities, particularly in preparing for careers in health care and beyond. The role allows her to combine innovation with a strong commitment to student success.

“Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge,” author Simon Sinek once said, which is a philosophy that guides Principal Bush. With a focus on collaboration, innovation and an unwavering belief in students’ potential, she is committed to strengthening a culture of high expectations and support.

Her vision is for every student to succeed academically while developing the confidence to see themselves as future leaders in health care and in life. Partnering with families, staff and the community, she aims to build a school where excellence is the standard and every student is prepared to pursue their dreams.
