Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) has implemented several improvements to enhance the security of Board meetings for staff, Board Commissioners, students, families, and our community. Recent security enhancements included cybersecurity updates, controlled access to entry points, reserved seating, restrictions on video cameras and recording devices, and an increased police presence within District headquarters.
Effective August 2025: In alignment with those efforts, public comments on live video will no longer be accepted for regular public Board meetings and committee meetings. Public comment will only be accepted in one of the following three ways:
In person (not available for committee meetings)
An email message attaching a statement no longer than 400 words to be read aloud by a board staff member.
An email message is attached to a three-minute video that will be broadcast during the board meeting.
