City Schools News

The window to request a transfer from one City School to another for the 2025–26 school year is now closed. This means the District Office is no longer accepting new requests to change school assignments. We welcome enrollment requests for new and returning students to City Schools. 

  

If you submitted a transfer request, thank you for your patience as our enrollment team processes all requests. If you do not receive confirmation of a transfer before the first day of school, please plan for your child to begin at their originally assigned school. To connect with the Enrollment team, please email Enrollment@bcps.k12.md.us

If your family (grades K–8) has recently moved, please contact and visit your new zoned school with the required enrollment documents to complete the process. Families may also reach out directly to schools to ask if they have space and are willing to accept your child. If a school offers your child a seat, please ensure they send an official acceptance letter (on school letterhead) or an email confirmation directly to the enrollment official at your current school. Once received, your current school will process your child’s release in Infinite Campus so the receiving school can finalize the enrollment. You will still need to provide the required enrollment documents to the receiving school to complete the process.
