Dear City Schools families,

Thank you for your continued patience as City Schools works through a high volume of enrollment and transfer requests.

Due to scheduled districtwide system maintenance by the Office of Information Technology, our teams will have limited access to the platforms needed to process requests. As a result, families can now expect updates within 15 to 20 business days from the date of submission.

We understand that this delay is frustrating, especially with the school year approaching, and we are doing everything possible to resume processing as quickly as possible once our systems are restored.

If you have an urgent concern or special circumstance, please contact us at Enrollment@bcps.k12.md.us so we can assist you directly. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

As a reminder, the Summer transfer window closes Friday, August 8, and this will be the only opportunity to request a transfer this school year. Additionally, please note that the last day to visit the Enrollment Office in person to initiate this process is Wednesday, August 6, 2025. However, applications and documents (no originals, please) can be placed in the North Avenue Enrollment Office mailbox through 4 p.m. on August 8, 2025.
