Students from Ms. Stokes and Ms. Jones' pre-K class at Montebello have been using interlocking blocks during math lessons. Students work in teams to build and construct projects while learning and using mathematical terms.

The Carson Scholarship is awarded to a select group of high-achieving students from around the country in grades 4 to 12 who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and humanitarian qualities. 
A door covered with paper animals and wordsDuring Read Across America Week, Mrs. Naughten and Ms. Barbie’s pre-K class at Hamilton learned about Nigeria and the wild animals that live there. They then decorated their door to show the animals they learned about! 

Student gardening in a raised bedSpring is on its way and many of our schools have wonderful school gardens that are tended, in part, by students. At Highlandtown #237 their student Green Team has been hard at work. They have new fruits, vegetables, and flowers growing in their garden boxes!

This lecture is based on teen safety in driving, where the students were given information on safer driving practices, along with information on Shock Trauma. Thanks to Stacy Ruhling, their Community School Coordinator, for organizing the event!

Alumni of various years starting from the Class of 1968 visited classrooms during advisory. They shared stories of life after high school and the different career fields they chose to inspire students to find their own paths after graduation! 

Two students with their "leprechaun traps"Saint Patrick’s Day is coming up and pre-K students at Thomas Johnson devised their own “leprechaun trap.” This activity encourages creativity and STEM skills! 

Principal Williams leads Harambee at Collington Square every Wednesday morning to help create a positive school community. Every grade level from Pre-K through 8th participates. The school has noticed an increase in attendance, including less tardies, on Wednesdays because of these efforts. Learn more how the school has increased attendance on CSTV.
