As February comes to a close, join us in celebrating our current Scholar Superstar winners! Scholar Superstars are nominated in their schools and then chosen by a committee of five City Schools staff members and two members of our very own Board of School Commissioners. These students have proven to be leaders and contributors in their school communities, and we are delighted to honor them:

Kolbi Jackson
School - Arundel Elementary

Kolbi is the definition of a kind friend. She goes above and beyond to be a peacemaker in the classroom and reminds her peers of class expectations. Kolbi is a special education student who strives daily for academic and behavioral excellence.

Maha Saleh
School - ACCE

Maha is an exceptional 12th grader at the Academy for College and Career Exploration (ACCE) in North Baltimore. She is a trailblazer and advocate for her peers. Maha is a founder of ACCE's National Honor Society chapter, an SGA member, and a part of Northrop Grumman’s High School Involvement Partnership Mentoring Program. Outside of school, Maha participated in a National Institute of Health summer internship  where she did novel research on the vascular system.
