Founded in 2002, KIPP Baltimore operates two tuition-free, open enrollment, high-performing public charter schools, currently serving approximately 1,500 students from kindergarten through fifth (KIPP Harmony Academy) and sixth through eighth grades (KIPP Ujima Village Academy). Our signature KIPP Forward program supports our alumni as they proceed through high school, college, and other postsecondary paths to career success. KIPP Baltimore is part of the national KIPP network of 270 schools, educating more than 100,000 students across the United States. Together with families and communities, we create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose – college, career, and beyond – so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.
