#321

Since its founding in 1997, Midtown Academy has brought together families from two diverse neighborhoods in a vibrant school community. Our students are at the heart of every decision we make. We use components of Expeditionary Learning, Responsive Classroom, and differentiated instruction to ignite students’ passion for learning and develop outstanding citizens. Our teachers create learning opportunities that engage students through compelling topics, while also building students’ skills for academic success. Midtown staff partners with parents to build students’ academic, social, and emotional competence. Empathy, self-control, assertiveness, cooperation, responsibility, and perseverance are qualities found in our students. This school is undergoing its renewal process. On February 23, 2023, the Board will vote on recommendations. For more information on the findings of the renewal review, the process by which the Board makes its decisions, and to see your school’s preliminary renewal report, please visit www.baltimorecityschools.org/renewal.
