Claremont School

Claremont Middle/High School #307 is a separate, public day school enrolling more than 50 students in grades 6-12. The school provides specialized educational services to students with moderate-to severe-to profound disabilities. The students in the program are on certificate track. Claremont provides an alternative academic program based on the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards. Students attend classes in the four major core areas and elective classes such as culinary arts, physical education, health, visual arts and music. The transition program at Claremont supports students' post graduate goals through a rotating schedule that includes daily life skills classes in money management, store management, laundry services, housekeeping and sorting and packing. In addition, Claremont has business partnerships in the Baltimore Metropolitan area that provides students with internships. On January 11, 2022, the Baltimore City Board of Commissioners voted to relocate this school into its new specially designed 21st Century space at the Patterson Building in summer 2022.
