At Benjamin Franklin High School, we build positive relationships and customize the educational program to meet the needs of each and every student who walks through our doors. We are a traditional high school that offers a comprehensive athletic program and opportunities for students to explore postsecondary school careers and opportunities. Nestled in the small South Baltimore neighborhood of Brooklyn/Curtis Bay, Ben Franklin provides students with the personal attention they need to be successful in school and in life. On January 25, 2022, the Board voted to close New Era Academy at the end of school year 2022-23. The Army JROTC program at New Era will be relocated to Benjamin Franklin High School at Masonville Cove for school year 2023-24. To learn about this decision or decisions affecting other schools, and what this means for your school, please visit City Schools Annual Review of Schools page found here: https://www.baltimorecityschools.org/annual-review.
