City Schools Student Media Team

Since 2015, the City Schools Student Media Team has offered high school students hands-on, industry-level training in storytelling, video production, and media strategy. To date, more than 160 students from over 20 Baltimore City high schools have created more than 400 productions—including live multi-camera streams, television segments, promotional videos, and news stories. As part of the program, students receive paid positions, participate in formal professional development led by the Office of Communications, and gain access to industry professionals and real-world media experience.

The Student Media Team will launch a new cohort in the 2025–2026 school year. While we are not currently accepting applications, please check back regularly for updates on how to get involved.
