The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 Youth Transit Council (YTC). This advisory group offers young people in the Baltimore the opportunity to learn how MTA operates, offer suggestions to improve transit service, and explore career options in the public transportation industry. Members gain real-world skills, connect directly with MTA staff, and ensure that youth perspectives are respected in shaping a more connected and equitable transit system. Join us for a FREE summer meal. City Schools students ages 18 and younger can stop by for free breakfast and lunch from the Str/EATs Cafe Food Truck located at the district's Central Office (200 E. North Ave.). Eat breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., or lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Str/EATs Cafe will continue serving at Central Office through July 30, Mondays through Thursdays.
