Good morning! This is a friendly reminder that students will participate in activities today as a part of the Baltimore Ravens CAW to Action event. We announced last weeks that students are able to wear Ravens gear or purple tops with their khaki bottoms today. Please be mindful that today is NOT a dress down day. Students should be in uniform if they choose not to wear purple/Ravens tops. Please reach out to Mr. Steller or Ms. Owens if you have questions about today's activities.

Please reach out if you do not receive it. ​I also want to remind families that students are allowed to wear orange tops as we celebrate our O's making it to the post-season. Please note: THIS IS NOT A DRESS DOWN DAY! Students must still wear khaki bottoms with their orange tops. If students do not wish to wear orange they MUST be in uniform. From the Desk of Ms. Matos: Hi everyone! As many of you may know, especially if you attended Back to School Night this past Wednesday, I've been out sick the majority of this week. Back to School Night is just as important for teachers since we get to know the families we work with better. With that being said, I'd like to host a virtual Zoom session regarding 6th grade ELA to get to know families and share more about my classroom. The session will be held on Monday, September 23rd, 2024. I will host two sessions: one for Honors ELA and one for Traditional ELA. Good Morning FSK! We are still working to import parents to Bloomz. We have been working with the support team and have imported almost 900 parents/guardians, but our Pre-K families have not all synced. This is due to an issue between Infinite Campus and the Online Registration portal. We are awaiting guidance on how to update OLR in order to have it "talk" to Infinite Campus so that the Pre-K parent information will load and sync to Bloomz. We will keep you posted. "Calling all 3rd-5th Grade Girls - Girls on the Run registration is OPEN!" Girls on the Run provides a confidence building curriculum mixed with a running program. The program runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45-5. The GOTR program uses a lottery system to place girls if we have too many applicants. You will be notified in early September if your daughter gets a spot. Hello FSK The system has been reset and all units are online. The building is cooling down and the tech will continue to monitor through the day!!

Good morning FSK, We are still having issues with the AC. It is on, but many rooms still feel warm. Facilities has been notified and technicians are en route. We will update as things progress.

Hello FSK The outage from earlier has had an adverse affect on the air conditioning in the building. Many of our classrooms are warm. We have contacted facilities and are awaiting a response/eta on when the issue will be resolved. We will keep the community posted with updates as they come.

Good afternoon FSK. Today at about 11:45 we had a partial power outage at the school. BGE states that this was part of a bigger outage that impacted more than 300 customers in our area. The power has since come back on. Facilities was notified and we are waiting for next steps. As of right now, we are without internet but everything else is up and running. We will keep you posted.

Hi FSK! Please see the message from the DOT about updates to the Circulator: "Due to recent changes in our service, some of your usual Circulator access points may have changed. Please take a look at these maps to see how you can use the Circulator to get to school this year!"

Attention 8th grade families! We wanted to share some logistical information for Monday so that students are prepared for their first day of school. Students do not have homerooms this year, many students have personalized schedules so your students will not be traveling with the same group of students all day long like in the past. Students will report to their first class listed in Infinite Campus to start the day. They will receive a paper copy of their schedule. Students MUST bring their charged BCPSS issued laptop to school daily. If their computer needs to be repaired or replaced they should bring it on Monday so we can get the process started. Students will be getting lockers on Monday after the 3rd period during advisory. Students should be prepared to carry their backpacks with them until they receive their locker assignments. Big bags of school supplies can be left with their first period teacher. Please discuss cell-phone use with your child. After lockers are assigned it is expected that all cell phones will be turned off and locked in their lockers along with wireless headphones.
