The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 Youth Transit Council (YTC). This advisory group offers young people in the Baltimore the opportunity to learn how MTA operates, offer suggestions to improve transit service, and explore career options in the public transportation industry. Members gain real-world skills, connect directly with MTA staff, and ensure that youth perspectives are respected in shaping a more connected and equitable transit system. Baltimore Vision is currently at Dr. Bernard Harris Sr. Elementary School providing vision and hearing screenings for our students.

We are working to make sure as many students as possible have the opportunity to be screened. If your student was absent, not in class, or was not screened today, please make sure they attend school tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, 2026.

These screenings are an important way to help identify vision or hearing concerns that may impact a student’s learning and success in the classroom.
