Virtual Learning Days

In 2022, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) announced that local school districts could include up to eight days as virtual learning days. For the 2023-2024 school year, City Schools will use virtual learning days in two ways. First, we will use synchronous virtual learning days during inclement weather. Second, we will implement three asynchronous days to support the development of student learning plans and parent-teacher conferences.

Learn more about how you can support your student's virtual learning below:

City Schools uses Zoom and Google Classroom to support virtual learning when students cannot attend class in person, such as in inclement weather. Zoom is used for live synchronous instruction, and Google Classroom hosts class assignments and resources.

Below are instructions for the software. If you require assistance, Call the City Schools IT Help Desk at 443-984-2001. We’re ready to help you Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
