Augusta Fells Savage Institute of Visual Arts

#430

At Augusta Fells Savage Institute, we tap into students’ potential and help them succeed academically, artistically, socially, and emotionally. Our mission is to prepare 21st-century leaders and learners in an arts-focused learning community where student achievement is the priority.

Annual Review Recommendation:

On January 23, 2024, the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners voted to approve the recommendation to combine Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy West’s (BDJ) high school program with Augusta Fells Savage Institute for Visual Art High School and close BDJ in summer 2024. This means the BDJ middle school program will sunset at the end of this school year, and BDJ middle school students and their families will be supported through a personalized placement process to find another middle school better able to meet student needs for the 2024-25 school year. To learn about these decisions or the decisions affecting other schools, as well as information about the final report and appeal process, please visit the City Schools Annual Review of Schools webpage.
