Greetings Curtis Bay Elementary/Middle School Parents/Guardians:

I would like to officially welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year! We want to emulate an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming and enjoyable. Curtis Bay was recognized immensely last year and I am so grateful for everyone’s hard work!

We have some new additions to the school this year…

  • Move This World—preventive social/emotional program for students and staff

  • Project Lead The Way—comprehensive approach to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education for grades 6-8

  • Honors Mathematics—gateway for Algebra readiness

  • SABES—partnership with Johns Hopkins to introduce Science starting grades 1

  • Mobile App—communication tool to keep everyone informed

  • One Card—track attendance

I would like to personally thank all of our partners that have made Curtis Bay successful and will continue to support us-- Positive Behavioral Intervention Systems (PBIS) of Maryland, Masonville Cove, Junior Achievement, Johns Hopkins University, Judy Center, Girl Scouts of America, Maryland Food Bank, the Lions Club, Beat The Streets and Newfit Kids, etc. I am encouraging our parents to register to volunteer to assure the success of these partnerships.

Please visit the Mobile App (curtisbay) for more information regarding the Food Bank dates, Parent Portal for update access to your child’s success and school supply lists and uniform options.

Momentum and planning is taking place to make this year an exciting year!  I look forward to seeing all of you at the Back To School Fair on Friday, August 26, 2016.
