City Schools presented the district's proposed $1.9 billion budget for the 2026-27 school year to the Board of School Commissioners during the public Board meeting on Wednesday, April 8. The budget details funds which will cover needs surrounding student wholeness, literacy, leadership, equity, and district office structure. Summer Learning Programs 2026

Interested in taking AP courses during the summer? Rising 9th–12th-grade students are invited to apply for a FREE summer program. Eligible students will receive academic preparation for an AP course of their choice and take part in college visits or other college readiness activities. The program will be held at the Baltimore Design School from June 29 through July 30, Mondays–Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
