The City just announced a $4.68 million investment to help folks impacted by the government shutdown cover essentials: food, housing, utilities and childcare.

✅ Food — No proof of employment or SNAP required. Pick-up sites, home-delivered boxes, fresh produce across the city.

✅ Housing & utilities — Rent covered for federal-worker/contractor households, support for water, electric and internet bills.

✅ Childcare — Up to $2,500/month for eligible families in November & December.

✅ Employment help — Career center workshops, virtual assistance, transition resources.
