Dear Sandtown-Winchester Achievement Academy Community,
I am writing to inform you of an unforeseen circumstance that has impacted school operations today, Monday, December 2nd.
On Sunday, December 1st, an underground water line break was discovered outside the school. The district’s Facilities team promptly responded to begin repairs, which remain ongoing. These repairs are anticipated to be completed this evening. Once the work is finalized, the Mechanical Services team will reset the boilers to ensure the heating system is fully operational and ready to provide adequate warmth for students and staff.
We understand the inconvenience this situation may cause and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. Later this evening, we will provide an update regarding the status of school operations for Tuesday, December 3rd.
The district facilities team is actively working on-site to resolve this matter and will continue to keep me informed of progress. I will ensure that you are promptly updated as new information becomes available.

Teachers have Professional Developement on Monday, November 4 . There is no school for students. Tuesday, November 5th is Election Days. Schools are closed for students and staff. We will see everyone Wednesday, November 6th at 7:30 for breakfast. Have a safe weekend.
