City Schools is sharing details about the Math Coach application process for the 2026-27 school year, along with virtual information sessions scheduled for Tuesday, March 10. Times and links are provided below.
The Math Coach selection process has been redesigned to provide greater clarity, consistency, and transparency for educators interested in coaching opportunities in mathematics.
Updated Process Highlights
A skills-based application aligned with instructional coaching competencies
Clear role expectations and scoring rubrics shared in advance
A structured selection process focused on instructional impact, collaboration, and coaching practice
Application, Hiring, and Selection Timeline
March 2–16: Updated posting open for applications
March 17–26: Data narrative task distributed and submitted
Week of April 6: Behavioral Event Interviews conducted
By April 10: Final candidate pool confirmed
April 13: Pool shared with principals
April 13–May 5: School-based interviews and RTHs
Given the multi-step hiring and selection process required for these positions, only candidates who apply during the application windows will be eligible for consideration and placement. Late applications cannot be accepted and candidates who do not apply within this timeframe will not be available for hire into Math Coach for the 2026-27 school year.

Applicants are encouraged to review these materials in advance to understand what constitutes a strong application and how candidates will be evaluated.

Important Note: There are no requirements for current Math Coaches as part of this process update.
