City Schools is sharing details about the Math Coach application process for the 2026-27 school year, along with virtual information sessions scheduled for Tuesday, March 10. Times and links are provided below.

The Math Coach selection process has been redesigned to provide greater clarity, consistency, and transparency for educators interested in coaching opportunities in mathematics.

Updated Process Highlights

  • A skills-based application aligned with instructional coaching competencies

  • Clear role expectations and scoring rubrics shared in advance

  • A structured selection process focused on instructional impact, collaboration, and coaching practice

Application, Hiring, and Selection Timeline

  • March 2–16: Updated posting open for applications

  • March 17–26: Data narrative task distributed and submitted

  • Week of April 6: Behavioral Event Interviews conducted

  • By April 10: Final candidate pool confirmed

  • April 13: Pool shared with principals

  • April 13–May 5: School-based interviews and RTHs

Given the multi-step hiring and selection process required for these positions, only candidates who apply during the application windows will be eligible for consideration and placement. Late applications cannot be accepted and candidates who do not apply within this timeframe will not be available for hire into Math Coach for the 2026-27 school year.

Resources for Applicants

A slide deck outlining the full hiring and selection process is available, including the updated job description, resume criteria, data narrative expectations, and Behavioral Event Interview competencies. Applicants are encouraged to review these materials in advance to understand what constitutes a strong application and how candidates will be evaluated.

Information Sessions

Two virtual sessions will be held Tuesday, March 10:

Sessions will cover:

  • The Math Coach role and expectations

  • The updated hiring and selection process
