This Friday, November 7, marks the first in-service District Systemic Professional Learning Day.

What’s New

All district-led professional learning is now organized into Learning Arcs (mini-courses) that meet three times: Nov 7, Feb 6, and May 1.

Completing all three sessions in a Learning Arc earns 7.5 PDPs (up to 15 PDPs per year for two arcs) toward licensure renewal. PDPs are tracked and documented in KickUp.

How to Register

  1. Browse the SY25–26 Yearlong Systemic PL Catalog to select your AM and PM Learning Arcs.

    • Each arc aligns to one or more PDP type:

Content & Pedagogy, ELD/ESOL/Bilingual, Students with Disabilities/Differentiation, or Culturally Responsive Teaching.

  2. Search for your chosen Learning Arcs in KickUp and register for the November session.

    • KickUp will automatically enroll you in the February and May sessions.

    • Registration closes at midnight on Thursday, Nov 6.

  3. Find schedules, logistics, FAQs, and the CAO/COS Opening Session link on the Nov 7 Systemic PL Website.

Location Update for ELD & SDI/Special Education Teachers

ELD and Special Educators will now attend sessions with general educators at shared sites:

  • One content session (AM or PM) of choice, and

  • Their ELD or SDI-required session during the opposite half of the day at the same site.

Example: A 6–8 ELD teacher may take Science (AM) and ELD (PM) at Dunbar HS.

  • View all PL sites and locations here.
