Mr. Ryan Stokeling, originally from Harford County, Maryland, began his career in Philadelphia, where he earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy from Temple University. His journey brought him back home to Baltimore, driven by a vision of academic excellence paired with holistic student growth.

Guided by the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—

“He who is greatest among you shall be your servant… everybody can serve.”
—Mr. Stokeling approaches leadership through the lens of service, humility, and community connection.

For him, relationships are the foundation of success:

“This year, I am most excited to build strong relationships with our students and families. Authentic connections create trust, engagement, and ultimately improved student outcomes.”

A defining moment in Mr. Stokeling’s leadership came in 2021, as schools reopened post-COVID. He quickly realized his role was far greater than academics—it was about helping students and families heal, adapt, and continue growing. This experience deepened his commitment to educating the whole child, ensuring that academic, social, and emotional needs are all prioritized.

Looking ahead, Mr. Stokeling offers a piece of advice for the new year:

“Always keep the end goal in mind—student growth. Even when challenges arise, if we stay focused on growth, we will achieve success together.”

His vision is for the school to serve as a cornerstone of the community—a place where students, families, local businesses, and community leaders feel welcomed, connected, and invested. By fostering strong partnerships and building lasting relationships, Mr. Stokeling seeks to bring renewed energy and collective pride to the school.
