This week, Garrett Heights Elementary Middle School proudly celebrates Community School Coordinator Appreciation Week and recognizes Mr. George “Geo” Strother for his dedication to our students, families, staff, and community.
The Community School Strategy connects academic success with the resources students need to thrive. Through family engagement, attendance support, after-school opportunities, community partnerships, and access to resources, community schools help remove barriers that can affect student success.
At GHEMS, this work is about bringing school, family, and community together around our students. Strong partnerships create stronger schools, engaged families strengthen learning, and connected students are better positioned to succeed.
Thank you, Mr. Strother, and thank you to every partner, family, staff member, and volunteer helping build a stronger GHEMS community.
Students Thrive. Community Belongs. Together We Rise.
We Are Garrett Heights
