back to school night

Garrett Heights Elementary Middle School’s Back-to-School Night was a tremendous success, welcoming approximately 60–100 families into our school for an evening focused on connection, communication, and community.

Families had the opportunity to visit their scholars’ classrooms, meet teachers, learn more about classroom expectations, and begin building the relationships that are essential to student success. These face-to-face conversations helped strengthen the partnership between families and educators while giving parents a closer look at their scholars’ daily learning environment.

We were also joined by five community partners and vendors, who connected families with valuable information about resources, programs, and services available to support their scholars and households.

Back-to-School Night demonstrated what family engagement should look like: families, educators, and community partners working together around our students.

Thank you to every family, staff member, volunteer, and community partner who helped make the evening successful.

Students Thrive. Community Belongs. Together We Rise.
