Choosing a high school is a major step, and we want our families to feel informed, prepared, and confident throughout the process.
Join Garrett Heights Elementary Middle School for our High School Choice Parent Information Night on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 4:30–5:30 PM.
Families will learn more about Baltimore City Schools’ High School Choice process, including how to explore and compare high schools, understand different admission types and programs, prepare for the application process, and learn how 7th- and 8th-grade academic performance can affect future high school options. For schools and programs with academic entrance criteria, City Schools uses factors that include core-subject grades and MCAP scores when calculating composite scores.
This is a great opportunity to begin exploring schools, programs, career pathways, and academic opportunities so your scholar can make an informed choice about what comes next.
Don’t wait until application season to start the conversation. Explore. Learn. Discover. Choose your future.
