FROM THE DESK OF PRINCIPAL JACKSON:
Good afternoon families,
Over the last two months, there have been three robberies in the community, including one this morning. Our number one goal is always to ensure that our students are safe on their way to and from school. We are partnering with the Baltimore City Police, Baltimore City School Police, The Movement Team, and our local neighborhood associations to be present, vigilant, and to keep our students safe. We want to ensure that we address both the safety of our students and their behavior in the community.
Please remind your student to stay safe by:
Staying alert and aware of their surroundings
Traveling with friends rather than alone whenever possible
Keeping valuable items secure and out of sight
Reporting any suspicious activity to school staff or
authorities immediately
Equally important: Digital Harbor students must demonstrate integrity and respect for others at all times. We expect every student to uphold these values both in school and throughout our community.
We need your partnership in two critical conversations with your student:
Safety first: Discuss being vigilant and aware during their commute
Personal responsibility: Reinforce that stealing or taking others' property is wrong, harmful, and will not be tolerated
We take all incidents of theft or robbery extremely seriously and will respond swiftly to protect our school community and hold students accountable for their actions. Our school team will also continue to be visible in the community before and after school to ensure that students are safe.
