UPDATE: Safety Letter to Families
April 27, 2025
Dear Digital Harbor Families,
We were made aware of a possible threat against our campus for Monday, April 28. After reaching out to School Police, they conducted a thorough investigation and they deemed the threat as not credible. There is no danger to students or staff. The safety of our school community is our highest priority. All students are safe, and we continue to maintain normal school operations under increased security presence as a precautionary measure. We understand this information may cause concern. Counselors are available to support any students who may feel anxious about this situation. We encourage you to speak with your children about reporting any concerns they may have about school safety.
Thank you for your trust and partnership in keeping our school community safe.
Sincerely,
Mavis J. Jackson,

Greetings families.
On Sunday night, we were made aware of a threat against the school for Monday morning. Thanks to the swift actions from students and families, we were able to get our school police to investigate quickly and deem this threat as not credible. We take the safety of our students, staff, and school community very seriously. I want to thank everyone that reached out to share the information to ensure that we are safe. I also want to thank our school police partners for their quick actions. School will open as regularly scheduled, but we will take additional safety precautions and you will see additional adult presence on campus.
I know that this can be concerning to some students and we do have school counselors and social workers on campus that they can speak with if needed. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly on my cell at 443-687-5579.
