October 10, 2024 "Dear Benjamin Franklin High School Parents and Guardians, I am writing to make sure you hear directly from me about an incident that impacted our school community today. A student eloped school during instructional time. The student was subsequently injured off campus. They returned to the campus for emergency medical services. We immediately called for medical support and informed their parents of the incident. I placed the building on lock down to support Emergency Medical Services without high traffic in the hallways. Lockdown lasted approximately 19 minutes and students resumed their normal schedule. At Benjamin Franklin High School, safety is our top priority, and we work daily to ensure a positive environment for teaching and learning. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the school at (410) 396-1373. Thank you for your continued support of our school community." Yours in Service, Heather Bradley Principal
