More support and resources

All families of Multilingual Learners (MLs) can come to the district's Multilingual Enrollment and Support Center (MESC) to enroll students in any grade, get help with middle and high school choice, submit foreign
transcripts for analysis, and learn about community resources.

Families of elementary and middle school students can also enroll at their zoned schools. Note that City Schools welcomes all families. By law, families are not required to prove legal status in the United States and do not need to show social security cards or any immigration documents.

All City Schools’ families complete a Student Enrollment Form (English, Spanish) and provide the same documents when they register, including proof of required immunizations.

Transportation

City Schools students may get yellow bus service or MTA bus tickets, depending on their age and how far they live from school. While middle school students who live more than 1.5 miles from their school typically get MTA bus tickets, middle school ELD students can get yellow bus service during their first year at City Schools if they are below WIDA proficiency level 2.0.
