Small Group Learning Sites

Update 11/10/2020: In recognition of the community conditions in Baltimore City and in keeping with our plan to extend in-person learning in measured steps, City Schools will limit its in-person learning opportunities to the original plan of approximately 25 schools (27 in total) beginning Monday, November 16, 2020.

Learning Sites

For certain groups of students at schools offering in-person learning, families may choose the in-person learning option or remain in virtual learning.  Families who do not want that opportunity will have the option to remain with virtual learning.  Students not enrolled at these schools will not have access to in-person learning options at this time.

The small group in-person schools and their start dates are as follows:

Separate Day Schools
Start Monday, November 9

Students at Separate Public Day Schools that choose in-person learning will be assigned to one of the following four sites:

  • William S. Baer School
  • Claremont School
  • Joseph C. Briscoe Academy
  • Sharp-Leadenhall Elementary School

Also, the following students also have the option to begin in-person learning starting Nov. 9: LRE-C, Early Learning Environment Pre-K/K, Early Therapeutic Environment Pre-K/K, and Early Learning Environment – Deaf & Hard of Hearing Pre-K/K. Those students will be assigned to locations throughout the district.

Start Monday, November 16

Prioritized students are early or young learners, students with disabilities, kindergarten students, English learners, homeless students, students in grades 6 and 9, career and technical education students (CTE), and students who cannot participate consistently in virtual classes for various reasons.
