Kamarra Burke
School - Montebello Elementary/Middle School
Grade - 8
Kamarra is the committed captain of the Montebello “Golden Steppers” step team. She helps students grow and nurture their love of art, dance, music, self-love, confidence, community, and relationships through step. But Kamarra is not just a star outside of the classroom. She is the SGA President and a member of the National Student Honors Society, all while maintaining grades worthy of placing her on the honor roll. Kamarra embodies every characteristic of a leader.
Tamia Vaughn
School - Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School
Grade - 11
Tamia is an amazing leader in the classroom, collaborating with her peers for group projects and taking the initiative to improve everyone's performance and understanding of the task at hand. She is currently the SGA Vice-President and a key player on the volleyball team. Tamia aspires to be a medical doctor and take her love of helping others to another level.

Final Colter
School - Hilton Elementary
Grade - 4
Final is a superstar inside and outside of the classroom. He is a kind, empathetic, positive, and hardworking individual. Final is an active member of the Robotics Club and has participated in the Black History Bowl as a teacher-picked grade representative. Final’s display of leadership, responsibility, and teamwork does not go unnoticed by his teachers and peers.
Ty'Juan Hughes
School - Bluford Drew Jemison STEM Academy West
Grade - 12
Ty'Juan is an exceptional student. He is the Senior Class President holding a 4.0 GPA. He also is a part of the MYLAW Page at City Hall. Ty’Juan is patient, kind, humble, and generous. He helps others and never gives up on his fellow students. Ty’Juan has plans on becoming a civil engineer and has even applied to Johns Hopkins and Morgan State!

Kadar Graham
School - Govans Elementary School
Grade - 5
Kadar is a superstar inside and outside of the classroom. His display of leadership, responsibility, and teamwork does not go unnoticed by his teachers and peers. Kadar is an amazing helper and critical thinker. Not only does he serve as the student representative on the Govans Steering Committee team, but Kadar has received the Most Improved Award for his chess-playing abilities and has even become a master junior chef!
Nevaeh Carter-Booth
School - P-TECH at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School
Grade - 10
Nevaeh excels on and off the court. As a P-TECH student, she is dually enrolled taking courses at the high school and college level. Currently, Nevaeh has a 3.854 unweighted GPA in high school and a 3.75 GPA in college at Baltimore City Community College. Not to mention, Nevaeh is a three-letter athlete playing volleyball, tennis, and is captain of the basketball team.
In her free time, Nevaeh volunteers at school events and as a mentor for incoming P-TECH students during the summer.

Jacia David
School - Harlem Park Elementary/ Middle School
Grade - 7
Jacia’s smile and energy light up every room she enters! At school, she has maintained over a 90% attendance rate and is committed to learning. Jacia has improved her reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, stamina, and motivation by reading over 250,000 words each year on the Reading Plus online platform. To date, she has read 214,430 words. Outside of academics, Jacia participates in the HPEMS Afterschool Program and is a member of the Step Team, Dance Troop, Green Team, and all Quarterly HPEMS Activities.
Kira Kerins
School - Patterson High School
Grade - 12
Kira is such a ray of sunshine! Kira is an active participant in athletics, student government, and peer tutoring. Kira not only serves as the school photographer and a member of the Patterson Press school newspaper, but she also started her own after-school program called Patterson Rocks to help combat mental health challenges in teens. Not to mention, she accomplishes this all while maintaining a 3.7 GPA!
