On June 7, 2019, the 27th anniversary of their high school graduation, the Class of 1992 celebrated the memory of our fallen classmates George Freeberger, Carlos Blount, and Dana A. White and the union of the class of 1992 by placing bricks along the Memorial Brick Walk at Poly. The attendees were honored to go back to the school that shaped who they are today to have a Brick Ceremony to honor those that are no longer with us. It was moving and a very profound moment to say the least. For the Class of 1992, the Poly love runs deep!
The Class of 1998 celebrated their 20th Class Reunion on November 2, 2018 at the Pier 5 Ballroom. The theme was "Road to 20" and incorporated their class colors: silver, black, and white. The class enjoyed an epic night of reuniting, dancing, and celebrating the 20th year as a class. Click here to see all of the amazing photos from the event!
Poly Alumni Reunion at Merci Ridge: On Thursday, June 7th, eleven Alumni from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute gathered at Merci Ridge for a luncheon to talk about their days at Poly and to hear the good news about what is happening at Poly today.

Alumni ranging from 1942 to 1994 were in attendance and shared in the festivities. You might ask, is a 1994 graduate residing at Merci Ridge, a Retirement Community. The answer is no, however, Melissa Smith works in the Wellness Center at Merci Ridge and when she saw the famous Poly ring on one of the residents finger, naturally she struck up a conversation with him, noting she graduated from Poly. When John O’Hagan, ‘55 mentioned there was going to be an alumni reunion, she asked if she might join in. Being ever so proud of Poly and knowing that no matter the age, all Poly Alumni are related, John said “please do”.

Meiosa Allender and Adrian Palazzi shook hands and personally welcomed each attendee and we both spoke about today’s Poly. Before lunch being served, alumni talked about teachers, pranks and the excellent educational opportunity they were afforded by attending Poly. Mr. Jerry Kahan, ’60 prepared a wonderful computer presentation which played throughout the gathering with many pictures and historical notes about Poly, it’s faculty and Administration.

The number one question, as always was “is Poly still a good school”. The guests of honor were assured with words and statistics proving that today’s Poly is strong as ever, producing great scholars who will be attending outstanding universities and will be the future leaders. We are in good hands with today’s Poly students preparing to take leadership roles in our country.

The days activities concluded with the singing of Poly, Polytechnic and the Poly Hymn. Many thanks to John O’Hagan, ‘55 principal organizer of the luncheon and Jerry Kahan, ’60 for his historical presentation as well as all the attendees. We hope to come back next year and visit again.
On Sunday, April 22, 2018, a group of very dedicated Polytechnic supporters gathers at The Still in Timonium to hold their ANNUAL class luncheon. The class of 1955 celebrated 63 years at what has now become an annual luncheon. The food and drinks were excellent, but the comradery was the best part. Looking at the yearbook and discussions about teachers and classmates filled the air. Eighteen (18) graduates and guests attended. Naturally a few jokes were shared about golf and your Foundation and Alumni Association was honored to have been invited to socialize and share a few words about the excitement of today's Polytechnic. At the end of the day, everyone wished each other well and said they looked forward to next year's event.

Those in attendance at this year's event were: Bob Sanford and guest (chief organizer), Kent Bromwell, Russ Baer and guest, John O'Hagan, Eric Carl and guest, Bink Beinkampen and guest, Charles Fishback, Bill Frack and guest, Pat Hackett and guest, Ron Mullen and guest and Ed Serp.

Gentlemen and others who attended, congratulations on your accomplishments and you're never ending support of Polytechnic. Looking forward to seeing each of you and perhaps a few more at next year's luncheon if not before.
On Tuesday, September 19th, the BPI Class of 1953 held its 64th annual luncheon. Thanks to all who put in much work to organize these activities and for all who attended, many from out of state. As folks gathered, friends greeted each other warmly with updates on activities since the last gathering and stories of the "Old Days" were shared with fellow classmates along with Laura Green, Executive Director of Poly's Foundation and Adrian Palazzi, Alumni Coordinator.

Jon Files served as Master of Ceremonies for the event and shared updates on the status of classmates. Laura Green was introduced to the group as the Executive Director of the Polytechnic Foundation and she offered warm greetings to all and offered any assistance either she or anyone in the Foundation and Alumni office could provide. Adrian Palazzi then addressed the gathering with some updates on all the wonderful things that are happening these days at Poly.

As always, the ever faithful members of the class of 1953, who have been extremely generous to Poly over the years, stood and sang "Poly, Polytechnic" at the start and followed it with the "Poly Hymn". A wonderful day of camaraderie closed out as members of the class said their goodbyes until next year's reunion.
The Class of 1967 recently celebrated their 50th reunion at Winter's Run Golf Club! Attendees can share anecdotes and pictures from the event by emailing Email Alumni BPI.
