Testing integrity

Please follow these steps to maintain testing integrity.

  • Designate a school test coordinator and alternate to attend mandatory district training prior to each test administration

  • Principals and school test coordinators should develop a testing plan to ensure an effective and efficient testing experience for students

  • Maintain the technology used for testing throughout the school year

  • Keep testing materials (e.g. student authorization tickets, seal codes, and test booklets) in a secure place when they're not being used and where they can be accounted for at all times

  • All staff administering tests should be trained and have signed the training certification forms

  • School test coordinators should keep a copy of signed training certifications and student tracking forms on file for six years

  • As we transition to online testing, keep student authorization tickets and seal codes in a secure location

  • Work collaboratively with the independent monitor assigned to your school

  • If you have any questions or concerns about testing, do not hesitate to contact the Achievement and Accountability Office at 410-396-8962

  • If you would like to report an incident anonymously, you may do so by calling 1-800-679-0185
