What is MCAP?
The goal of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) is to see how well students are doing in meeting the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards (MCCRS). The MCAP tests, which cover topics like English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, give parents and teachers important information about how their children are doing in school from grade 3 through high school. These tests help teachers change the way they teach to help students learn more and make sure they are ready for college and job paths.
