Congratulations to our graduating seniors and their families!

Graduation season is almost here. The dates, times, and locations for all high school graduations are listed below. 

Many - but not all - of the ceremonies will be held at Coppin State University's Physical Education Complex (PEC) arena. Additional information for ceremonies at PEC is also below.

Details for Ceremonies at Coppin's Physical Education Complex Arena
Student and guest arrival times and expectations

Student Arrival Times and Information: Students can be dropped off at the arena an hour before their ceremony.  Guests cannot wait with their students in the arena. Students will have a special holding room for graduates only and must stay there. 

Guest Arrival Times and Expectations: Guests can enter Coppin State University's Physical Education Complex Arena 35 minutes before the ceremony. Guests should follow stadium protocol for entry. 

  • Guests are only allowed to enter the facility (PEC Arena) from the main Arena entrance (Located at the corner of Warwick Avenue and Gwynn’s Falls Parkway). All other entrances will be locked. Please see map below.
  • Parking is prohibited at Mondawmin Mall. Guests who park at Mondawmin Mall are subject to towing and are responsible for all associated costs. City Schools assumes no responsibility for individuals who violate parking instructions. 
  • All guests will be checked upon entry. 
  • Small clear bags are recommended. 
  • Food and beverages are prohibited in Coppin State University's Physical Education Complex Arena. However, concessions will be available once guests arrive, but we will cut off concessions 15-20 minutes into the ceremony.
  • There is no time allotted for families to take pictures after each ceremony because City Schools will host another graduation ceremony immediately afterward. Therefore, City Schools is asking all stakeholders to depart Coppin State University premises after the ceremony immediately.

  • Smoking 
  • Alcohol 
  • Illegal Substances 
  • Weapons 
  • Backpacks, Duffel bags 
  • Oversize purses or computer cases 
  • Fireworks 
  • Noisemakers 
  • Laser pointers 
  • Beach balls 
  • Signs of any size or other distracting objects  
  • Any other items or actions deemed dangerous or inappropriate by Campus Police  
  • Bullhorns
  • Signs 
  • Outside professional photographers (each school will have that provided for every scholar)
