City Schools to host “Let’s Get H.Y.P.E.D.” event for middle and high school students on May 23

BALTIMORE - To encourage strong parent support and involvement in students' well-being and academic success, Baltimore City Public Schools will host a Let’s Get H.Y.P.E.D. Event. The event is free and will be held in person on Monday, May 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, located at 830 E. Pratt St. in Baltimore.

Helping Your Child Plan for Education and Dreams (H.Y.P.E.D.) allows youth to explore resources that prepare them for college and careers. The family-oriented event will display how City Schools support the community by highlighting some of the district’s latest resources in academic subject areas, advisory committees, student support and programs, and more.

Attendees can tour the Reginald F. Lewis Museum’s multifaceted exhibits, see live entertainment, interact with City Schools staff, share their thoughts, and participate in various mini workshops and giveaways. Event special guests include 92Q Jams’ Raven Paris and Comedian Larry Lancaster.

Let’s Get H.Y.P.E.D. is one of many outreach events hosted by City Schools’ Family University. The program is a collection of quick-tip videos and resources for families designed to increase engagement while fostering academic success and social-emotional growth.
