Mrs. Amber Kilcoyne
Principal Kilcoyne was born in Prince George’s County, Maryland. As a part of a military family, she frequently moved to different military bases on the East Coast. She finally settled in St. Mary’s County, and after graduation joined AmeriCorp, working with the Maryland Conservation Corps (MCC). It was while on a trip to an Elementary School in Calvert County to teach children about trees with the MCC, that she was inspired to become a teacher. Principal Kilcoyne has been an educator in Baltimore City Public Schools for 16 years. She began as a second grade teacher at Morrell Park Elementary Middle, moved on to be a Librarian at Brehms Lane Elementary School and Belmont Elementary School then became Principal of Medfield Heights Elementary School in school year 14-15. She attended Towson University for her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education, University of Phoenix for an MBA in Marketing and College of Notre Dame of Maryland for a Post Master’s Degree (CASE) in both School Administration and Library Media Science. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and home improvement projects.
