    Parent and Community Engagement

    Steuart Hill Academic Academy will provide parents opportunities to learn more about their child and education by sponsoring:

    • Back to School Night
    • Organized Parent Group
    • Workshops/Trainings
    • Parent Ambassador Club Monthly Meetings
    • School Family Council Meetings 

    Parents may Volunteer in activities with their children in activities such as:

    • Serve on School Committees
    • School wide programs
    • Assemblies
    • Lunch Monitor
    • Classroom Aides
    • Front Door Monitor
    • Office Support

    Organized Parent Group

    Supports and speaks on behalf of our children in the school, in the community and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting our children. It assists parents in developing the skills they need to raise and parent their children, and encourages parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.


    As a Student of Steuart Hill Academic Academy I will:


    • Attend school on time every day
    • Seek and/or accept help from teachers, counselors, administrators to address attendance issues
    • Make up all missed work

     Academic Achievement

    • Come prepared to learn and be on time and prepared for class every day
    • Study and complete all classroom and homework assignments every day
    • Take all classes seriously with special attention to mathematics and reading
    • Attend special preparation classes such as Saturday Academy

    School Climate

    • Be respectful of myself and others at all times and follow Code of Conduct
    • Wear the proper uniform
    • Take pride in my school and respect all school property

    As a Staff Member of Steuart Hill Academic Academy I will:


    • Implement an instructional schedule from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm
    • Notify parents of student absence or lateness every day
    • Implement attendance interventions (calls, letters, conferences) for students who need them

    Academic Achievement

    • Provide a safe environment that is conducive to learning
    • Deliver quality classroom instruction, assign homework to be record and provide extra assistance to help student succeed
    • Communicate student’s progress regularly to families and be accessible via conference, phone or email

    School Climate

    • Reinforce the City Schools Code of Conduct
    • Foster respect of students, parents, community, school and environment
