Greetings Parents and Guardians of the Class of 2019,
Welcome Back to School! We are so excited and privileged to be working with your Awesome and Amazing Students again! Senior year is going to be a combination of challenging, rewarding and exciting and we want to help you and your students stay organized and informed about important dates, events and activities.
The Class of 2019 has several events planned for their Senior Year including: Inauguration, Farewell, Senior Prom, Parent Appreciation Celebration End of Year Class Trip, Graduation and a host of other school sponsored activities including Senior Portraits, College Day and Senior Week! All students are encouraged to participate in the events and activities listed above as long as they adhere to the schools code of conduct and pay their class dues.
Conduct and Behavior
This year students will be required to sign a Dunbar Behavior Contract. This contract is enclosed in this letter. This document can be signed and returned on August 22, 2018 during Senior Orientation. The behavior contract must be signed and returned no later than September 7, 2018.
The class dues are $350.00 for the year. Class dues can be paid in full or in the revised payment option listed below. Please note students will receive a receipt for all monies provided for class dues.
During our first class meeting on September 7, 2018 we will be providing students the cost for activities and trips that have been planned for this year already and others that we have researched the cost of from last year and from classes that have previously planned similar trips. I have provided you with estimated costs of activities that have been approved, please see below.
- Class T-Shirt – Homecoming - October5, 2018
- Inauguration – TBD
- Farewell - TBD
- Parent Appreciation Celebration -May 2019
- Senior Prom – May 2019
- End of Year Class – June 2019
- Graduation – June 2019
- Coppin University - $9,000
- Cap and Gown - $50 per person
Class dues help fund ALL the activities listed above. All students that pay their class dues will be able to participate in the events listed above as long as they continue to maintain ongoing positive behavior that is in ordinance with the school’s code of conduct. Refunds will not be given to students. Dues cover all activities and students cannot select which activities they would like to attend. In order for students to participate in Junior Prom they must pay At Least $150 dollars by no later than September 28, 2018.
