High school honors and AP course audit
All high school principals and assistant principals / Deadline: October 1
As part of a districtwide audit, all high schools must email their honors course curricula and/or syllabi to Dennis Jutras in the Gifted and Advanced Learning department at firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday, October 1. This request (with further details about the audit) was emailed to principals on July 10.
All AP course syllabi must be audited and approved by CollegeBoard in order for the course to be recognized by CollegeBoard and colleges. The district will retain copies of CollegeBoard-approved syllabi in order to share them with current and future teachers.
When submitting information, include a brief narrative to explain how your Honors course differs from the General Education level course, and keep the following in mind.
- General Education course = High school expectations
- Honors course = College preparation expectations
- AP course = Undergraduate level expectations (level 100 or 200 courses)
