Special Meetings and Events
The Board holds special meetings, workshops, forums, and other events throughout the year to share information with the public and provide opportunities for stakeholders to give input on important topics. Upcoming events appear on this page as soon as they are scheduled. Except where noted, all events take place in the 1st floor Board room at the district's administrative office.
In almost all cases, members of the public are invited to attend these meetings, which are also broadcast live on Education Channel 77 (Comcast cable in Baltimore City) and streamed online . (If a meeting is closed to the public, this is noted explicitly in the meeting announcement below.)

The Board of School Commissioners will hold a work session on high school graduation requirements. The public is invited to attend and watch the deliberative process, but no public comment will be taken.

The Board may convene in a closed session, in accordance with the Maryland Annotated Code, General Provisions Article, §§ 3-101. Before any closed meeting is convened, the presiding officer will publicly identify the section or sections of the Open Meetings Act authorizing the closed meeting.
